The first Allen & Wright (A&W) fast food restaurant arrived in Singapore in 1966 at Dunearn Road. It was the first fast food chain to be introduced to Singapore and its hotdogs and root beer were well received. This tumbler, featuring the A&W mascot, Rooty the Great Root Bear in his badminton gear, was most likely a giveaway at the fast food restaurant and used in homes.
