This is a poster by the East Asiatic Company advertising its passenger service to Europe and the North Pacific via the West Indies. The shipping firm first established trading links in Southeast Asia in Thailand, and opened its first office in Singapore in 1902. The Singapore office remained the company's headquarters for Singapore and Malaya until 1957 when the branch office in Kuala Lumpur took over operations for Malaya.
