Great World Amusement Park at Kim Seng Road was the biggest of three amusement parks that provided affordable mass entertainment during their heyday between the 1920s and the 1960s. Besides the bandstands, food stalls and popular theatre in these parks, fairground cinemas were a novelty and main attraction.
