Hindu ritual vessel

This vessel has an overall brown patina which tells of its previous use and age. In the Agamic tradition of worship in Shiva and Devi temples, ritual objects such as this, are customarily used during worship, in the daily ‘puja’ at home as well as in temples. Ritual vessels are often decorated with floral or religious motifs which further enhance their sacredness.
