This tubeskirt has a mix of indigo and maroon-deyed warp and weft, as well as supplementary woven bands in red, yellow, white and green. The bands comprise rows of what appear to be a variation of the 8-pointed star motif that is found in many of the Tai textile traditions in mainland Southeast Asia. The skirt was probably made by a Tai Daeng weaver. The mix of indigo and maroon threads for the ground is typical of the Tai Daeng weaving tradition.
