This woodblock print comprises four figures holding a large illustration of the guardian animals of the Four Directions (tiger of the west, bird of the south, dragon of the east and tortoise of the north). These motifs are found on ancient religious artefacts such as burial shrouds. The title of the piece refers to the practice of secondary burial of ancestral remains, which the artist suggests is a metaphor for the movements of the capital city in the past and the upheavals in the city of Hanoi today. This bleak illustration is used as a metaphor for the loss of the ancient capital city of Thanh Long and the resulting uncertainty from the rapid modernisation of Hanoi today.
