The photograph is part of an album which consists of photographs related to the activities of The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (R.A.O.B.) as well as the sights and scenes of Singapore and Malaysia.The original St Andrew’s Cathedral was built in 1837 but it was closed and demolished a few years later due to lightning damage. A new church was built and it opened for service on 1 October 1861. It was built in early English Gothic style.
