The photograph on top shows the Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque in Johor, which was constructed between 1892 and 1900. The photograph below shows the road leading to the Tyersall house that was built by William Napier, a prominent solicitor, as his residence. This road leading to the estate was also named after him. Napier’s residence later came into the possession of Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor, who built his residential palace, Istana Tyersall, on the site.
