Not far from Changi Prison was a war cemetery known as Wing Loong Cemetery. After the Japanese surrendered, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission exhumed the bodies of Allied soldiers buried in this cemetery and relocated the remains to the Kranji War Cemetery in 1952.
