The Singapore Volunteer Corps was responsible for the containment of the Sepoy Mutiny of 1915, and played a significant role in maintaining internal security at that time. This pair of boots was part of the dress uniform that belonged to a Captain in the Corps. The white uniform, supplied by the Robinson and Co. department store, was worn by all ranks for occasions that required full dress.
