Constantinople Estate banknotes were private banknotes used within Tuan Syed Muhammad bin Ahmad Alsagoff’s estates. He was given the right to issue his own private currency by the Johor government in the 1870s. The banknotes were printed by the Al Sa’aidi Press in Singapore.
