This partially finished cut work ornament is filled with beadwork embroidery on one side. The leaf shaped pattern is filled with glass ‘seed beads’ or ‘Rocaille beads’ of yellow and green colour. The main techniques used in beadwork embroidery are stitching, threading and stringing. These ornaments were usually hung on the wall or attached to ceremonial furniture in the bridal chamber.
