This lotus-shaped ornament has tips of the petals decorated with tiny granules. The red stone in the centre is also surrounded by granules at its base. Although Indian influence had reached Java by this time and Indian motifs provided inspiration for Javanese goldsmiths, Javanese jewellery were not mere imitates of Indian models. The nature of interaction between Indian and Javanese culture remains a subject of debate.
