Mr Lim Kim San was the first Chancellor of Singapore Management University from 2000 to 2002. During his distinguished public service career, he was best known for his contributions in housing the population of Singapore in the 1960s as the first Chairman of the Housing and Development Board (HDB). He then went on to hold ministerial positions in various ministries from finance, education, defence to environment.
