This cheongsam-inspired sleeveless blue top which features a mandarin collar, red piping and red buttons belonged to the present director of the National Museum of Singapore, Ms. Lee Chor Lin. She bought the top from the designer and owner of Tan Tan (currently known as Tong Tong) boutique, Tan Sheau Yun. Tan drew inspiration from the traditional cheongsam and re-interpreted the garment according to the needs and identity of the modern woman.
