This large blue and white dish with a straight rim is decorated with the character 'wang' (king) at the centre, which has been left unglazed. The cavetto has three large peaches with stylised branches and leaves. The dish is covered with a very finely cracked glaze. The peach is an aupicious Chinese symbol for immortality. This blue and white ware was reportedly made more than 70 years ago in a factory in Singapore.
