This elaborate, granary jar has a slightly bulbuous body, an elongated neck with a modelled creature encircling the long neck and a cup-shaped mouth. The body is undecorated except for a pinched ridge around the shoulder. The piece is covered in 'Qingbai' glaze, so called because of its characteristic icy bluish-white quality.
