This stoneware jar has a tall neck with large, flat rim, four raised lugs and incised lines around the shoulder. Traces of olive-green glaze are still visible on the shoulder. Large jars from these kilns have been found widely dispersed in shipwreck cargoes in Southeast Asia and also in Japan. They have also been found in highland communities in Vietnam where they are revered as heirlooms. In Cambodia, they were used in ancient burials in the Cardamom Mountains.
