A "kentong" is a cylindrical piece of wood hung in mosques. It functions in a similar manner as the "bedok" (drum) in that it is sounded to announce prayer times to villagers. This kentong comes from the Wak Sumang Mosque in Punggol. The mosque has since been demolished.
