This painting is a representation of Krishna as Shrinathaji, shown wearing a simple kaupinam. He is seen here in blue-black painting highlighting his pearl ornaments and eyes downcast in a meditative concentration. The simple green turban and loincloth make him look like a gvalabala (cowherd child). His raised arm indicates his act of lifting Mount Govardhana, shown in detail in the background. This image of Shrinathji is depicted for Mangala darshana, which starts with the rising of the deity early in the morning and ends with his retiring to bed at night.
