The display of various animal mounts marked the impressive zoological collection at the Raffles Library and Museum, which contained a striking array of specimens that ranged from stuffed and skeletonised seladang (wild oxen), rhinoceros and deer to birds and reptiles. Apart from animals, the museum's extensive collections also included botany, geology, ethnology and numismatics.
