Zoological specimens on display at the Raffles Library and Museum

This carnivoran cat display was one of the various specimens that could be seen in the zoological section at the Raffles Library and Museum. The museum's impressive zoological displays contained a striking array of animals that ranged from stuffed and skeletonised seladang (wild oxen), rhinoceros, wild boar and deer to birds, reptiles, amphibians and aquatic mammals such as dolphins and tortoises. Apart from animals, the museum's extensive collections also included botany, geology, ethnology and numismatics.
