This gold necklace has repoussé decorations on its nine pendants and is mounted by tubes to a gold wire. It has been suggested that such oval pendants represent mangoes and symbolise the feminine power of the yoni. The pendants have also been interpreted as “tiger claws”, similar to the one worn by the youthful Krishna and Buddhist Boddhisattva Manjusri. It is said that this type of necklace is found in early Sanskrit literature from India, and is associated with a warrior's glory.
