This pair of stands with spokes for winding and preparing warp (vertical) yarns are in the form of 'naga', mythical serpents. Chinese sources record that the Khmer learned weaving from the Siamese - it is still not clear if this was the case. There are certainly great similarities in the weaving tradition, as well as the tools weavers of both countries use.
