This scripture is part of the collection of the Chinese Buddhist canon (triptaka) which were commissioned for printing by the Mongol rulers between 1228 to 1322. This dharani (ritual speech) is devoted to Yamantaka or Daweide mingwang, the wrathful manifestation of Amitabha, the Buddha of the West, also one of the Five Cosmic Buddhas.
