Known as the Black and White Faces of Impermanence (Heibai Wuchang) with another General--General Fan, these two generals are the guardians of the City God. Their terrifying coutenance is related to their tragic deaths as both of them died from drowning. These idols are paraded during the birthday procession of the City God in the day and night. They are also popularly regarded as gods of wealth blessing devotees with luck for the lottery.
