Sleepwalking

Born in 1963, Le Quang Ha graduated from Hanoi University of Industrial Arts in 1992. Since 1987, Ha has participated in no less than 30 exhibitions in and out of Hanoi. These include Germany, China, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, etc. Choosing lacquer as his preferred medium, Ha is known for his brutal and controversial presentations of socio-economic issues of Vietnam. The abstract forms in ‘Sleepwalking’ give the lacquer work a modern twist. The dreamy effect of blue shows sensitivity for the subject matter and the handling shows an excellent command of the artistic medium.
