Opened in 1971, Jurong Bird Park is Singapore’s first wildlife park. This park’s was the brainchild of Dr Goh Keng Swee, the former Minister for Finance.

The largest avian park in the Asia Pacific, Jurong Bird Park also includes a nine-storey tall lory flight aviary with nine multi-coloured lory species, the Waterfall Aviary, as well as habitats for penguins, macaws, and flamingos.

Today, the Jurong Bird Park has 3,500 birds of 400 species and continues to be a popular attraction for local and overseas visitors.
