Description

Part storybook, part neighbourhood adventure. This creative Neighbourhood Storybook brings Punggol’s past to life. 10 creative non-fiction short stories retell familiar histories and sights––fishing, farming, boatels––in new ways that spark alternative ways of understanding the town’s background.

Every story is accompanied by a hands-on activity encouraging readers to go out into the neighbourhood and discover what remains of these histories today.

The Punggol Neighbourhood Storybook is perfect for all Punggol residents past and present, young or old.

ABOUT OH! OPEN HOUSE

OH! Open House is an independent arts organisation that tells alternative stories of Singapore through art. Since 2009, it has provided more than 66,000 people with the unique experience of appreciating art and heritage outside of museums and galleries, from strangers’ homes to underutilised public spaces. It works with artists to present art in unconventional locations, or in surprising new ways. Through diverse programmes, OH creates opportunities to understand and connect with the everyday on a more meaningful level.MORE ABOUT THE ORGANISER
