Group photograph of Ang Shee General Association members on the association’s opening ceremony in 1966

This group photograph shows members of the Ang Shee General Association (翁氏总会) during the association’s opening ceremony at the Kiung Jai Weng Clan Association (琼崖翁氏公会) located at Victoria Street on 10 July 1966. The ceremony involved a curtain unveiling ceremony by then Executive Committee President Ang Liat Kiat and a speech by former Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Toh Chin Chye. This photograph in particular, was given to the Jin Pan Shan (金盘山) clan association members. Members with the surname ‘Weng (翁)’ from the Jin Pan Shan clan association were also members of the Ang Shee General Association.
