NorthStar Advantage computer with floppy disk

This is a NorthStar Advantage computer released by NorthStar, an American company, in 1982. It was collected with a 3M Scotch 5.25-inch floppy disk that would have been used with it.01 Computer System Pte Ltd, a Singapore company, purchased the computer after its formation in 1989. The company sold computer products such as storage media used for electronic data processing. Its customers initially included manufacturing companies that required backup of production data such as Philips and Honeywell, and later came to include financial institutions. The computer was used during the 1990s to produce monthly personalised marketing materials via mail merge, which were then sent to customers.
