This sarong kebaya consists of an open blouse with a tailored skirt in the same fabric. The embroidery depicts peacocks standing among a cluster of flowers and foliage and includes cutwork, called kerancang or krawang in Malay.Evelyn Greaves (née Yeo) ordered the outfit from Steven Ong, a designer from Kuala Lumpur. She chose a matching skirt as she thought it gave the ensemble a more modern look than traditional sarong kebayas.
