Pictorial Map of Southeast Asia

This poster not only offers an overview of British colonies in the ‘Far East’ (which included Federated States of Malaya, Singapore, Brunei, Sarawak, North Borneo, and Hong Kong), it also provides a pictorial summary of the various products and industries in the region. These ranged from coconuts and rice, to tobacco and tin mining. It was illustrated by Leo Vernon Bensemann, an artist from New Zealand.
