"Romantic Malaya" travel poster

This poster markets an image of a ‘Romantic Malaya’, with an illustration of an idyllic seaside scene on a full moon night. Issued by the Federated Malay States Railways, the poster was part of the railway company’s attempts to promote tourism through Malaya by railway, both by regional tourists as well as international tourists. The Federated Malay Railways lines were extensive, operating from Singapore to Padang Besar in northern Malaysia from 1901-1948.
