This floral embellished coat features a round-neckline with a three-quarter wide sleeve. This dress has an A-line front silhouette and a flared skirt detail on the back. This piece was part of Andrew Gn's Resort 2016 ‘Persian Garden’ collection inspired by Persian ceramics with a graphic take on carnations, marigolds, and tulips prevalent in Persian tiles and ancient ceramics. The show featured materials that showcase opulence such fil coupé fabric, heavy textured jacquard, multicoloured thread embroidery and iridescent beads and crystals.Andrew Gn is one of Singapore’s most prolific fashion designers in history, achieving high levels of critical acclaim and industry success. He is the only Singaporean to be a constant feature of Paris Fashion Week since 1995. His creations are known for their elegant, feminine, maximalist aesthetics and are finely crafted, cross-cultural, and reflective of innovation in tradition in fashion. This work is part of his major gift back to Singapore.
