Do Hoang Tuong is a contemporary Vietnamese painter whose practice can be described as a painterly personal reflection and grapple with the state of affairs in Vietnam post Doi Moi. Active since 1985, the trajectory of his practice shows shifts in artistic expression – shifts that coincide with the changes to Vietnam’s economy, natural and built environments and societal conditions.
