This photo shows Gunner Ronald J. Venton of the Royal Artillery aboard the HMS Bermuda, which was a Crown Colony-class light cruiser with the Royal Navy. Venton was a Gunner with the Royal Artillery. He was captured in Singapore on the 15th of February 1942, during the fall, and was interned in Changi until October 1942. After his internment, he was transferred to Formosa until the end of the war in 1945.
