Masferre is a Filipino photographer whose works show the lives and customs of the people in his country with an intimate eye. From 1934 to 1956, the self-taught photographer devoted himself to documenting the communities of the Cordillera mountains. His goal was to convey the dignity and humanity of the Filipino people. These photographs are representative of his overall photographic practice.
