This work depicts Elizabeth Lee, mother of the artist Dick Lee, against a colourful background of flowers in full bloom. Popularly known as Dick Lee, Richard Lee Peng Boon was born in 1956. He is a prolific singer and songwriter. He has also written many well known musicals including Beauty World (1988), Fried Rice Paradise (1991) and Forbidden City (2003). He was awarded the Singapore Cultural Medallion in 2005 for his achievements in music.
