This headcloth was probably made by the To Bada people of Central Sulawesi. It was made with bark-cloth which is one of the earliest forms of fabric. Although they are usually painted in various colours, this example has been left monochrome. It contains imagery inspired by local flora and fauna and was worn by the men of the village.
