This pair of ballet flats is decorated with paste and plastic embellishments. On the underside, the label ‘Shoe Gloves by Fashion Art, Gloves for the Feet’ is visible. Unlike most Peranakan slippers which are sewn by hand, this pair is perhaps manufactured. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
