The Tang Shipwreck was acquired through the generous donation of the Estate of Khoo Teck Puat.

The lid of this multi-lobed box is decorated with three cicadas amid scrolling vines, all executed in repousse, against a ring-punched ground. On the other hand, the bottom surface features chased decoration of a pair of birds amid floral scrolls. This particular piece had been stored alongside three other lobed silver boxes within a larger silver box.
