Made in Singapore Type HD 1144/B Philips iron

This was a Philips iron that was made in Singapore during the late 1960s. It was during this period that Philips began assembling irons in a rented factory that made domestic appliances. The electronics company from the Netherlands first began operations in Singapore in 1951 that imported lighting products, radios and gramophones.
