This well-worn, luggage-label encrusted briefcase was donated by Robert Wilson. Wilson was from San Francisco, USA, and travelled to Asia as part of an orchestra on board voyage #31 of the passenger liner SS President Garfield in the early 1930s. The labels on the briefcase highlight some other places Wilson visited, such as Manila and Penang. This item was previously displayed in the Raffles Hotel Museum.
