The Tang Shipwreck was acquired through the generous donation of the Estate of Khoo Teck Puat.

Eighteen silver ingots were found on the wreck. They all have a distinctive, waisted shape. However, as they do not bear any inscriptions, their precise origins are uncertain. Nevertheless, they constitute the earliest as well as largest group of Tang silver bullion discovered to date.
