This child’s bib comprises a patchwork design that is reminiscent of the European style patchwork that was popular at the time. The main decorative motifs on this piece are checked patterns of different colours of red, brown and orange. These form a regular geometric pattern around the piece. This piece was made by sewing together pieces of batik fabric discarded from a baju panjang (long tunic).
