This cheongsam is printed with floral motifs all over. It has a nipped in waist which is typical of the 1950s Western silhouette.In the 1950s and 1960s, Singapore became the regional textile centre. Fabrics of the latest designs were easily available to local consumers. Hence, cheongsams made during the period had bold and interesting designs and became a fashion item among Singapore Chinese women.
