Born in Thai Nguyen, Ha Manh Thang (b.1980) graduated from Hanoi Fine Arts University in 2004. Recognized as one of the up and coming artists in Hanoi, Thang is known for his close-up portraits of couples and families. He is also a member of the p-art group comprising young artists who focus on contemporary life. Since 2000, Thang has participated in more than five exhibitions in Hanoi.
