The piece comprises a miniature landscape setting with rocks and flowering plants. It was probably partly moulded and the flowers were delicately hand-modeled. The whole is made of porcelain stone mixed with pigment before firing. The potter's seal has been applied at the back of the piece.The potter is Qui Shuang Jiong, who works at the Dehua Phoenix Ceramic Sculpture Research Institute (De hua feng huan tao ci diao su yen jiu suo). The piece was made specially for ACM. It is a representative example of contemporary potting techniques being used at Dehua today.
