This maqta has mother-of-pearl decorations. The reed pen will be put on the maqta as it is being cut for the purpose writing calligraphy.Muslims around the world are unified by the Qur’an and as such, the holy word and the vehicle by which it is transmitted, that is calligraphy, remains an integral part of Muslim identity.
